Install a gateway

There are currently two types of gateway used with the system.

Manual System Gateway

  • designed to be deployed in a lubrication workshop ideally in the vicinity of the charging location of the head unit between uses.

  • Once installed is only power dependant

  • Internet connection can be via onboard LTE, site Wi-Fi or site LAN cable (fully secured and configurable)

  • GB can remote assist as required

Manual System Gateway

  1. determine a suitable location where both the gateway and the head unit will be stored between uses (on charge and synchronisation)

  2. Route an external antenna for LTE signal if required - alternatively can be configured for Wi-Fi or LAN cable internet connectivity

  3. Provide power (ensure remains ON) and verify a full synchronisation can occur.

Automatic System Gateway

f8d9597e-3563-4a80-abb3-9d5c1841feb1

  • Designed for outdoor deployment and only intended as a gateway for endpoint devices

  • Ideally located centrally among a cluster of endpoints (range up to 150m in some cases)

  • Can be pole or surface mounted

  • Once installed permanent power is required

  • Internet connection can be via onboard LTE , site Wi-Fi or site LAN cable (fully secured and configurable)

Automatic System Gateway

  1. Mount the gateway (pole or other)

  2. Provide power ( via PoE injector or directly) and ensure it remains ON

  3. Confirm endpoints can communicate ( range checks)
