Once you log in to the system, you will notice a navigation bar on the left side.
The top left section (default start location) is Activity and we would see any events to the right side. If you are starting out this may be empty.
Notice the top right section- this is where you access your profile and select a language of the system .
Definitions and Naming Conventions
We have made some changes to the naming conventions adopted within GreaseBoss, please see the table below:
Points are individual locations where grease is delivered to a machine. The system focuses on delivery at the point level, we use terms like grease points or end points. Logical naming of the points in the system greatly assists in physically locating a point when needed and is easily managed in the system. Points are associated with an asset (machine or sub-machine), and location (area).
Locations (Areas) The largest description in the system. Every Site has at least one location. E.g. main plant
Sub-location A location can optionally have sub-areas. E.g. secondary section
Assets (Machines) are a group of points. They can be located in areas or sub-areas. There's no limit to the number of points they have. E.g Conveyor 12 (asset), located in the secondary section (location) has 10 points (points).
Sub-assets may exist as elements of machines. e.g conveyor 2 may actually be part of a machine called “crusher1”
Devices Here you can see the GreaseBoss hardware in use at your site. For example, you might have 3 head units, 200 endpoints and use 10 gateway devices. You would see 213 devices.
Internationalisation Support
Users are now able to select which language to use, via the Language drop down list within the header bar.
By default, the language selected will be based on your browser settings.
