The GreaseBoss system consists of hardware and software to verify the greasing activity of manual and automatic systems.
The manual system hardware is the physical grease point RFID tag along with the GreaseBoss head unit fitted to your portable manual grease gun. The head unit contains a smart coupler to detect the grease tags and an internal flowmeter to capture volumes along with communications hardware to allow information to be synchronised to the GreaseBoss Cloud for analysis and reporting.
GreaseBoss Hardware Elements
Tags
The GreaseTags are robust RFID tags made from engineering plastic with a ceramic RFID chip, designed for industrial use. The GreaseTags snap directly onto grease nipples (zerks) and provide each grease point with a unique 24-digit identifier code. The Head Unit uses this unique 24-digit identifier code to accurately track grease application to every grease point.
They offer exceptional chemical and UV resistance, operate in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, and can withstand peak temperatures up to 200°C. With an IP68 rating and rugged design, the GreaseTags ensure reliable and accurate grease point identification in the harshest conditions.

Head unit
The Head Unit retrofits to any grease gun and empowers greasers with the lubrication schedule data, in their hands as they are greasing. It guides greasers through the lube route and provides intuitive instructions on how to grease each point. Greasing data is captured and synced to the GreaseBoss Cloud, via the Gateway for analysis.

With an external antenna to enhance cellular network access and customisable configurations for each site, the Gateway v2.0 is essential for efficient lubrication management.
